A swap meet is “a marketplace where inexpensive or secondhand goods are sold or bartered.” Often times these very meets showcase some of the most unique and scarce goods; goods whose value goes unrecognized and unappreciated by many.
The Swap Meet is a monthly event that showcases these quality, yet unrecognized goods in the form of underground artists, including but not limited to emcees, poets, and bands; giving them the opportunity to display, exchange, and sell their art and merchandise.
Just like the shoppers at the outdoor markets the supporters of The Swap Meet are cognizant of and appreciate the value of the ‘sellers’ and the ‘goods’ they showcase.
